Imagine us sitting down over coffee.
I’m leaning in, excited to share something that’s become my passion. Just a couple of months ago, I came across Food Socks. For years, I’d seen the same challenge in outreach work, how do we provide wholesome, affordable meals to people who need them most, without needing industrial kitchens, trained chefs, or complicated logistics?
Food Socks became my answer. Each pack contains pre-measured dry ingredients that turn into a warm, nourishing meal for four—just add water and cook for 30 minutes. They’re Halaal-certified, gluten-free, and vegetarian-friendly, meaning everyone in your feeding program, church pantry, or school lunch line can enjoy the same meal without special adjustments.
Then I discovered the 25L Food Socks bucket, enough for 300 meals in one container. Suddenly, feeding hundreds became as simple as placing a single order.
Since then, I’ve thrown myself into spreading the word:
- Marketing on Facebook and other social platforms.
- Emailing schools across the Western Cape.
- Contacting churches throughout South Africa.
Approaching the big Corporations about including Food Socks in their feeding programs. and have had virtual meetings with 2 of them to explore real partnership opportunities.
Already, the support has been incredible:
- A 36-pack order donated to a local church—providing 144 meals.
- R1 500 contributed toward my LCI Solutions stock fund.
- A full-flavor pack (all 9 varieties) purchased for R500.
All of this feeds into my R5 600 start-up kit, the first step toward holding enough stock to meet incoming orders immediately.
My vision is simple:
To lock in long-term supply agreements with schools, churches, NGOs, and major retailers… and to move from feeding hundreds to feeding thousands. Because every child and every family deserves the dignity of a hot, healthy meal, no fuss, no barriers.
This isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a conversation about real impact. If your organization runs a feeding program, partners with churches, or supports after-school projects, I’d love to talk about how Food Socks can be part of your solution, whether it’s one pack, one bucket, or an ongoing partnership.
Let’s make it happen, one sock, one bucket, one meal at a time.
