We are each in continuous communication with our environment and vice versa.

Our beliefs, attitude and mindset creates the filters that either brings experiences within our environment into focus or not.

Whilst our environment always presents a full spectrum of possible experiences, we will each choose something within our safe zone of experiences, which in turn maintains the overall feel of our individual life.

And just as the universe is able to communicate and impact us daily, so too are we are able to communicate and impact the universe.

Understanding a Whole-Person Approach to Health

In recent years, the word holistic has become more common — but it’s also widely misunderstood. For some, it can sound unfamiliar or even concerning. In reality, the idea behind it is simple, practical, and rooted in common sense.

At its core, holistic simply means looking at the whole person rather than focusing on one part in isolation.

For example, when someone experiences ongoing tension, fatigue, or discomfort, it is rarely caused by just one factor. Physical strain, stress levels, sleep quality, emotional wellbeing, and lifestyle habits all play a role. A whole-person approach recognises these connections and works with them, rather than treating symptoms in isolation.

This perspective is not new or alternative — it aligns closely with what modern science continues to confirm.

Research in fields such as neuroscience, physiology, and psychology shows clear links between the body and mind. Stress can affect muscle tension, digestion, and immune function. Breathing patterns can influence the nervous system. Emotional strain can impact physical health over time.

In other words, the body does not operate in separate compartments — it functions as an integrated system.

Guilt and Shame..

Let's talk about it.

Guilt and shame are intense, often painful, emotional experiences with distinct psychological and physical impacts.

Guilt involves remorse over specific behaviour or experiences and can sometimes be the driver towards positive and corrective actions.

Conversely, shame targets the self ("I am bad", "Im not good enough", "I am not lovable."), frequently causing withdrawal, depression, anxiety, and self-destructive behaviour.

Key Effects of Guilt
Guilt is triggered by our innate moral compass, encouraging people to take responsibility, apologise, and repair relationships. However, if held onto and owned for longer than necessary can have a negative impact on the individual and their overall well being.

Physical Symptoms: Can cause muscle tension, stomach issues, and insomnia.

Key Effects of Shame
Strongly linked to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem which in turn can seed destructive behaviours like addiction, aggression, and social withdrawal.

Shame instills a sense of being unworthy or "not enough" and can further worsen fears/beliefs of rejection, causing individuals to avoid others or become defensive.

Physical Symptoms: Linked to headaches, fatigue, and a feeling of sickness.

Both Guilt and Shame, especially when unprocessed, whether unconsciously or consciously locked into the body acts as a point of disharmony and pain within the system, which in turn can present through a myriad of "symptoms", as the body attempts to bring awareness to where we still hold disharmony within ourselves.

Healing modalities like The Emotion Code, Reiki, Kinesiology, Energetic Recalibration (even an intuitive Reading to identify the root cause of these emotions) are just some of the ways in which the steps to release these emotions, leading to a successful acceptance of the statement "I AM LOVED, I AM ENOUGH".
