🤔 Physio or Biokineticist - what's the difference?
Great question, and one I get asked all the time!
A Physiotherapist typically focuses on the acute phase of injury - reducing pain and restoring basic function.
A Biokineticist picks up where the physio left off, essentially a transition to structured exercise to rebuild strength, improve movement quality and prevent re-injury.
In short:
➡️ Physio gets you out of pain
➡️ Biokinetics gets you back to living fully
The two professions work brilliantly together. Many patients come to me after completing physio - and that's exactly the right time.
