Stop playing small sista.

Powerlifting is your ENTIRE personality RN. Just freaking own it.

Own the fact you love being strong,
That you love winning,
They you love the focus on ability not aesthetics.

Also own the fact that you’re playing small by not truly investing in your nutrition and recovery because when things don’t go right, deep down you can always say “its because my nutrition was off”

There isn’t a single athlete that I’ve worked with, from beginner to elite, that has it all “figured” out, and sometimes small changes have big impacts.

I wan’t you to know that performance nutrition isn’t about dieting, our confusing you with quasi-scientific reasons for you to do things - its about nourishment, abundance, and helping you flow effortlessly through training.

It’s about becoming more, doing more, having more - instead of less.

If you’re tired of playing small… like this post so i can see your IG and let’s ball!

What you eat in the weeks leading up to competition matters. So does the plan for making weight, refueling after weigh-in, and eating when meet day gets chaotic.

That’s the work we do with our athletes. They know how they’re making weight and what they’re eating when it’s time to lift.

I made a 7 Days Out guide to help you plan your final week without guessing your way through it.

This a perfect framework for lifters who are 1-2kg above their weight class and want to use a tried and tested framework to make weight (backed in actual science not bro-science) without drama, restriction and sweating.

Comment “7DAYSOUT” and I’ll send you the link. It’s $99 until the end of September.

Gaia had five years of competing behind her. She had a great coach (shoutout to our friends at Barbell 1610), and she knew a fair bit about nutrition.

Then she moved countries, started a new job and found herself heading into her first IPF Junior Worlds Championships with energy at an all-time low. Making weight was on her mind too.

The answer wasn’t macros and a meal plan. Gaia needed a strategy that allowed to to eat enough carbs around training, and the type of food realistically cook (and eat on the go) between early starts, long commutes and late finishes.

A few weeks out she was 1 kg over the 69 kg class… but we had a consistent baseline of food, sleep and hydration so were able to make small (and i mean small, tiny even…) adjustments to what she was eating about days out from platform.

She made weight after a long-haul flight, hit two PBs and told us it was the most confident she’d ever felt on the platform.

That’s what I want for every athlete we coach: a plan that allows you to implement your nutrition consistently, whatever that looks like for you. A plan that gets you to platform confident because you KNOW you’ve done the work, and the PBs you worked for as the receipts.

Yes… we have a few tricks up our sleeves on meet week and competition day - but the real magic happens when you start 6 months out.

If you’ve got a big coming up (and even if you don’t) and want that level of confidence, apply for coaching via the link in bio.

If your training sessions are longer than 90 mins - or you lift early with no time to eat - this might be the missing link in your performance.

Intra-training fuel can boost energy, focus, and recovery during longer and more demanding sessions.

It’s really simple:

✅ 20–30g quick-digesting carbs during your session

✅ Eaten or sipped between sets

✅ Must be fat-free for fast digestion

People are shocked when I tell them to smash a Haribo between deadlifts… because candy isn’t “healthy.”

Would I want you getting in fast-digesting carbs away from training? No, absolutely not. But in this context, candy isn’t “junk food” - it’s smart fuel for serious lifters.

Comment “GUIDE” and I’ll send you the full training-day fuel framework we use inside the Performance Accelerator to help you get stronger, faster.

It’s no secret that the barrier to entry in powerlifting coaching is basically… zero.

And somehow the barrier to entry for nutrition coaching in powerlifting is even lower.

Meaning: a kid with an iPhone can tell you to drink gallons of water, eat ice cream to make weight and call it a “strategy” — and plenty of lifters will do it because nobody has told them this is stupid.

There’s no science in blindly copying someone else’s water cut.

And when it goes wrong, you actually need to understand physiology well enough to recomp someone after they’ve completely screwed up their fluid balance.

But of course every 20-something gym bro wants to try it because it sounds AWESOME.

Soooo much ice cream, right?

Yeah. Fun.

You know what’s more fun?

Teaching athletes how to have a great meet without doing stupid things for the ‘gram.

Making weight without panic.
Actually performing on the platform.
And not needing three days to feel remotely human again.

This is also exactly why I don’t work with male lifters under 40.

If you only start worrying about your weight 2 days before weigh-ins, you’re not serious about lifting.

I don’t let my athletes get to the point where they’re sitting there a few days out wondering if they’re going to make weight.

A week out, every athlete I coach knows pretty much exactly where they’re going to land.

You train for months for a competition. Sometimes years.

Why on earth would you leave your bodyweight to chance?

If you’re suddenly scrambling 48 hours out, that tells me one of three things:
- You’re self-sabotaging.
- You’re not taking the sport seriously.
- Or you’re wasting your coach’s time.

And yes, that sounds harsh.

But your coach has also spent months preparing you for this meet. They shouldn’t have to spend the last two days trying to fix something that should have been managed weeks ago. The work starts months out.
That doesn’t mean you need to be dieting for 6 months.
It doesn’t mean you need to be cutting the whole prep.

It just means you need to pay attention, have a plan and take some accountability for your bodyweight.

Meet week should be ex*****on, not damage control.

And if you won’t do it for yourself, do it for your coach.
They deserve better too.
