Medwell Dalemed is looking for a compassionate leader to manage our frail care facility at the beautiful Douglasdale Retirement Village in Sandton. If you have a deep love for the elderly, strong management skills, and a clinical background, we want you on our team!

Location: Douglasdale, Sandton (In-person)
Hours: Mon–Fri, 07:00 – 16:00
Salary: R35k – R40k pm (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the frail care & assisted living units.
Lead a team of registered nurses, caregivers, and housekeepers.
Ensure top-tier clinical care, compliance, and resident well-being.
Liaise with families, doctors, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
Proven management experience in healthcare/elderly care.
Medical, nursing, or clinical background (highly advantageous).
Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills.
Compassionate, resident-focused, and responsible.

Today, we celebrate a decade of Medwell.

Ten years ago, the merger of Elcare and Gernessa brought together a shared vision of compassionate, people-centred healthcare. What started as a bold step forward became the foundation of a healthcare group that has touched countless lives across South Africa.

Earlier this month, the Medwell team had the privilege of attending the 2026 CMASA (Case Managers Association of South Africa) Conference, where healthcare professionals, case managers, and industry leaders came together to share knowledge, explore innovation, and discuss the future of patient-centred care.

While the conference theme may have taken us back to the glamour and elegance of the roaring twenties, the conversations were firmly focused on the future, collaboration, integrated healthcare, and improving outcomes for the individuals and families we serve every day.

Events such as these remind us that great healthcare is built on strong partnerships, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to excellence.
