She carried life
while death knocked softly at the door.
Not surrendering,
not retreating,
but loving — fiercely —
with the quiet courage only a mother knows.
Before the world spoke a single word,
before medicine made its plans,
before fear could settle in the room,
the child already knew where safety lived.
Tiny hands searched instinctively
for the place where comfort begins:
his mother’s breast,
her heartbeat,
her warmth.
And there she was —
scarred perhaps, weary perhaps,
but still a sanctuary.
This is the strength of women:
to create life while carrying pain,
to nurture while trembling,
to smile through battles
no one else can fully see.
Women are not weak things asking permission to bloom.
They are oceans.
They are shelter.
They are the steady hands
holding the world together
when everything else breaks apart.
And sometimes,
the greatest miracle
is not that a baby is born —
but that a woman,
even in her darkest hour,
still chooses love first.
