Quick question: when last did you do a breast self-check? ๐ค (No judgement โ we know how long the to-do list is.) It takes about five minutes, once a month, and it's one of the simplest ways to get to know your body.
Swipe through for the three steps: look in the mirror for any changes in shape, size or skin, feel the whole breast using the flat pads of your fingers, and remember to check your armpits and up to your collarbone too. Choose a regular time each month โ a few days after your period ends is ideal, or the same date every month if you no longer have periods โ so that you can learn what's normal for you. ๐ซถ
๐ Remember, a self-check doesn't replace a clinical breast exam or a mammogram. If you notice anything new or unusual, speak to your doctor or clinic sister. Save this post so you have it handy next month!
