👁️ Scleral Lenses: More Than Just Contact Lenses
👉Did you know that some contact lenses are designed to do much more than simply correct your vision?

1️⃣Scleral lenses are larger, specialised contact lenses that rest mainly on the white part of the eye (the sclera), rather than sitting directly on the cornea.👀
2️⃣Their unique design creates a fluid reservoir between the lens and the eye, which can help keep the eye’s surface hydrated while also providing a smooth optical surface for clearer vision.
3️⃣They can be particularly useful for patients with certain corneal irregularities or complex vision and ocular surface needs, where ordinary spectacles or standard contact lenses may not provide the best solution.
4️⃣Every scleral lens is carefully fitted to the individual eye. This means measurements, comfort, vision and the health of the eye all matter when finding the right fit.

👁️ Blepharitis: Do your eyes often feel dry, irritated, itchy or gritty?
The problem might not only be your eyes—it could be your eyelids.

Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelid margins.

It can affect the tiny oil glands around your eyelids and interfere with the tear film that keeps your eyes comfortable.

What can it feel like?
🔴 Red or swollen eyelids
🔥 Burning or irritated eyes
💧 Watery or dry eye
👀 A gritty, "something in my eye" feeling
✨ Crust or flakes around the eyelashes
😣 Itchy or uncomfortable eyelids
👁️ Blurry or fluctuating vision

Blepharitis can be persistent and recurring, so simply treating the symptoms may not always address the underlying problem.
