a) Define Delegation (5%)
Delegation is the process by which a registered nurse (in this case, a ward manager) transfers the responsibility for performing a specific nursing task to another competent individual (such as support staff or junior nurses) while retaining accountability for the outcome It involves the distribution of work to ensure the goals of the ward are met efficiently.

b) 📑Describe Any Five Leadership Theories (35%)

🗒️Trait Theory: This "Great Man" theory suggests that leaders are born, not made. It focuses on identifying specific inherent qualities or personality traits—such as intelligence, decisiveness, and self-confidence—that distinguish leaders from followers.

🗒️Behavioral Theory: Unlike trait theory, this suggests leadership can be learned through training and observation. It focuses on what leaders do (their actions) rather than their traits. For example, a leader might display "task-oriented" behaviors (focusing on the job) or "people-oriented" behaviors (focusing on relationships).

🗒️Contingency (Situational) Theory: This theory asserts that there is no single "best" style of leadership. Instead, the most effective leadership style depends on the specific situation, the task at hand, and the maturity or skill level of the staff members involved.

🗒️Transactional Leadership: This theory is based on a system of exchange or "transactions." Leaders provide rewards (like praise or bonuses) for compliance and good performance, or punishments for failure to meet standards. It is often used for maintaining the status quo and meeting clear targets.

🗒️Transformational Leadership: This approach focuses on inspiring and motivating staff to go beyond their self-interest for the sake of the organization. Transformational leaders use vision, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration to foster innovation and professional growth within the ward team.

*Complications Of Measles*
*👉 Bronchopneumonia* : it is single most usual complication. it occurs when the infection spreads to the lower respiratory tract.
*👉 Malnutrition* : occurs due to anorexia, stomatitis and diarrhoea
*👉 encephalitis* occurs when the measles virus invades the brain tissue
*👉 Otitis media* : occurs when the measles virus spreads to the middle ear through the tympanic membrane and causes infection and inflammation of the middle ear.
*👉 Laryngotracheobronchitis*
: The measles virus invades the larynx, trachea and bronchi causing infection of these structures
*👉 Corneal ulcer* : This occurs when the measles virus infects the corneal tissue resulting in scarring and clouding of the cornea.
*👉 Myocarditis* : which may progress to CCF
👉 *Mental retardation* : or epilepsy which may result from organic brain damage following encephalitis
