🕊️🕊️A FINAL FAREWELL TO COMFORT MUSONDA🕊️🕊️.

Laid to Rest at Milemu cemetery 6th June 2026.
Yesterday was a day that none of us will easily forget. The grounds of Milemu cemetery in launshya bore witness to one of the most painful farewells the Levy Mwanawasa Medical University has ever had to make, as we laid to rest our dear colleague and pharmacy student, Comfort Musonda.
The atmosphere was heavy with grief, yet filled with love, a true reflection of the kind of person COMFORT was. She touched lives quietly, steadily, and deeply. Her passing has left a wound in the hearts of every student, lecturer, and friend who had the privilege of knowing her.
Among those who stepped forward to honour her memory was the Student Union President, Mr. Brian Malambo, who delivered a heartfelt tribute on behalf of the entire student body words that carried the weight of a community in mourning. This was followed by a moving tribute from the LMMUPHARMSA Secretary General, Mr. Noah Chimbofye, who spoke on behalf of the fourth class and the Pharmacy Students' Association, reminding us all of the irreplaceable place Comfort held within our association. Perhaps the most emotional moment came from her closest friend, whose grief was too deep for words, a silence that said everything that language could not.
We do not have all the answers. We do not fully understand why. But we trust in the God who does, the One who gave her to us, even if only for a season. Her dedication, her warmth, and her spirit will continue to teach us long after her voice has gone quiet. Comfort, you will be deeply missed by your family, your classmates, your church family, and every soul you crossed paths with.
Go well, dear Comfort. Go well.

In Loving Memory of Comfort Musonda
Today, the LMMUPHARMSA PHARMILY and student populace gathered to bid farewell to one of our own soul whose name truly reflected her nature. COMFORT MUSONDA was not just a fourth-year Bachelor of Pharmacy student at LEVY MWANAWASA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY; she was a light, a friend, and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Those who walked alongside her through the corridors of LMMU knew her as a God-fearing young woman whose faith was not merely spoken but lived. She carried the Word of God with her wherever she went, sharing it freely and joyfully with those around her not out of obligation, but out of a heart that genuinely loved God and loved people.
COMFORT had a rare gift of making everyone around her feel exactly that comfortable. She was loved deeply because she loved deeply. Her warmth, her spirit, and her willingness to pour into the lives of others left an imprint on the hearts of her fellow students, lecturers, and all who crossed her path.
Though her time among us was brief, the life she lived was full, full of faith, full of love, and full of purpose. The Pharmily and student populace will forever cherish the memories shared with her, and the void she leaves behind is a testament to just how much she meant to us all.
Rest well, COMFORT. You have fought a good fight. We will miss you dearly.

Not from one faculty alone,
but from every corner of LMMU.
united in love, united in loss.
Today, students of medicine, pharmacy, nursing
and every program you touched
stand shoulder to shoulder
at this sacred ground.

But above all titles and faculties,
she was simply our sister.
And we came.

LMMUPHARMSA White Coat Ceremony & Awards Night 2026
Today, something sacred is happening.
Within these walls, a generation is being clothed in purpose. One by one, the white coat falls upon the shoulders of Levy Mwanawasa Medical University's finest — and in that single, breathtaking moment, a student becomes something more. The Pharmily is growing, and it is growing beautifully.
The white coat is not merely worn today — it is received. Received like a mandate. Like a mission. Like the quiet but powerful answer to a calling that began long before this room, long before these walls, long before today. And yet — today is the day it becomes real.
As the ceremony unfolds, the air hums with something electric — the sound of futures being sealed, of destinies stepping into the light. Proud eyes glisten in the audience. Hearts beat a little faster at the front. This is not just a ceremony. This is a consecration.
And then — the awards. Name after name rises into the air like incense, honoring those within the Pharmily who have burned brightest this year. For academic excellence, for leadership, for service, for the kind of dedication that does not ask to be seen — and yet, today, is seen. Today, excellence is called by name. Today, the extraordinary is celebrated.
This is LMMUPHARMSA, 2026 — and right now, in this very moment, history is being made one white coat at a time.
