Message of Condolence

The Zambia Medical Students’ Association wishes to express its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and the Copperbelt University-School of Medicine community on the passing of Rofato Mutebele Machona, a final year Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery student.

Rofato answered the Lord’s call on the night of 23rd April 2026.
He will be remembered for his hard work, jovial spirit, and unwavering positive outlook on life.

May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort during this difficult time.

The NMQ Chairperson, Ms. Lweendo Siamwenya featured on The Update programme by Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation, sharing insights on the upcoming National Medical Quiz under the theme: “Uniting Medical Schools in Pursuit of Clinical and Scientific Excellence.”

The quiz will be proudly hosted by Zambia Medical Students Association in partnership with 1Day Africa.

Yesterday, the ZAMSA Executive led by the President, Ms. Beatrice Namukwasa, alongside the Academic Secretary, Mr. Bupe Collins, attended the Edge Inter-University Internal Selection Debate at Levy Mwanawasa University.

The engagement forms part of the build-up to the upcoming Edge Inter-University Debate, set to be hosted by Teledoctor in partnership with ZAMSA.
