This Women’s Month, we continue to celebrate inspiring women making a difference in their communities. 💜

Nalishebo Chilonge, a young leader from Kapiri Mposhi District, reflects the power of empowering young women with the right support systems.

Through CHZ programs, Nalishebo was trained as a mentor mother, gaining the knowledge, confidence, and skills to support other adolescent girls and young mothers in her community. Through youth-friendly platforms and mentorship initiatives, she has grown into a strong advocate for young women’s health and wellbeing.

She plays an important role in guiding and encouraging other young mothers and adolescent girls. By sharing her experiences and providing peer support, she helps young women access vital health information, make informed choices, and face life’s challenges with confidence.

Nalishebo is not only building a brighter future for herself, but also inspiring and uplifting other young women in Kapiri Mposhi District.

We celebrate her as our Women Crush Wednesday a true example of women rising, leading, and soaring as champions of change in their communities. ✨

Happy Youth Day, Zambia!
Under this year’s theme “Arise and Soar,” we celebrate the power, resilience, and leadership of young people across Zambia.
Through partnership with the Ministry of Health Zambia, CHZ supports community-led engagement, peer mentorship, and youth-friendly health services that empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
Young people are not just beneficiaries—they are leaders, advocates, and change-makers in their communities. When young people are empowered with the right information, support, and opportunities, they can rise above challenges and help build healthier and stronger communities.
Together, let us continue creating an environment where young people can arise, lead, and soar toward a brighter and healthier future for Zambia.

Celebrating Women Who Lead and Inspire at CHZ
As we continue celebrating Women’s Month, we recognize and appreciate the incredible women who contribute to the mission and impact of CHZ.
Today, we celebrate Nina, our HR Specialist, and Maureen, our Chief Technical Director two remarkable leaders whose dedication, expertise, and passion continue to strengthen our work and the communities we serve.
Through their leadership and commitment, they help create an environment where teams thrive, programs grow, and meaningful change happens in the lives of women, girls, and communities across Zambia. Their work reflects the spirit of this year’s theme: Rights. Justice. Action for all women and girls.
At CHZ, we are proud to work alongside women who inspire, lead, and champion progress every day.

Today, CHZ joins the world in commemorating International Women’s Day under the theme “ Rights. Justice. Action for All Women and Girls.”

This day reminds us that achieving a just and equitable society requires collective action to ensure that every woman and girl can realize her rights, access opportunities, and live healthy, empowered lives.

At CHZ, we recognize the strength, resilience, and leadership of women in our communities. Through our work in HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health, and community health programs, we continue to support women and girls with the knowledge, services, and platforms they need to make informed decisions about their health and futures.

As we commemorate this day, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting the rights of women and girls, advancing justice through equitable access to health services, and taking action to ensure no woman or girl is left behind.

March is Women’s Month 💜
RIGHTS. JUSTICE. ACTION. For All Women and Girls.
Today we celebrate Abigail Mutepuka from Masaiti and the many women and girls she inspires every day. Through mentorship, advocacy, and community engagement, Abigail is helping young women believe in their potential and make informed choices about their lives.
Through our programs, CHZ works alongside women and girls in communities to expand access to education, health services, and leadership opportunities. By supporting mentors like Abigail, we continue to create safe spaces where girls can learn, grow, and lead.
Together, we champion rights, justice, and action for all women and girls.

Today, CHZ joined the Ministry of Health Zambia in commemorating World Cancer Day, under the global theme “United by Unique.”
Every cancer journey is different. Every person’s story matters. Yet, we are united by a shared responsibility to ensure equitable access to quality cancer care for all.
In Zambia, a lot of people still face barriers to prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and palliative care. At CHZ, we believe that access to cancer care is not a privilege, it is a right. A healthier Zambia depends on systems that reach communities early, strengthen health services, and place people at the centre of care.
Through community engagement, health education, partnerships, and advocacy, CHZ is committed to supporting efforts that improve awareness, promote early screening, and strengthen referral and care pathways especially for those most at risk and underserved.
On this World Cancer Day, we stand united by our diversity, strengthened by our shared purpose, and committed to building a Zambia where no one is left behind in the fight against cancer.
Together, we can create a healthier Zambia with access to cancer care for all.
