Beit CURE Zambia has conducted an orientation session in Chongwe focusing on cleft lip and cleft palate conditions, highlighting the available surgical interventions and the importance of early identification and referral of patients.

The orientation brought together healthcare staff from various health facilities who were equipped with knowledge on recognising patients with cleft conditions, available treatment options, and strengthening referral pathways to ensure affected children and families access timely surgical care.

The initiative is expected to improve awareness among healthcare providers, enhance patient referrals, and contribute towards better outcomes for patients requiring corrective surgical interventions.
