NEW ESWL EQUIPMENT NOW AVAILABLE AT IHZ FAIRVIEW 🏥✨

Kidney stones AND ureter stones can be painful, disruptive and difficult to manage — but treatment doesn’t always have to mean surgery.

IHZ Fairview is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) machine, bringing advanced, non-invasive treatment for kidney and urinary tract stones to our patients.

So, what is ESWL?
ESWL uses focused shock waves to break kidney or urinary tract stones into smaller fragments, allowing them to pass naturally through the urinary system.

Why ESWL?

✔ Non-invasive treatment
✔ No surgical incision required
✔ Helps break down stones into smaller, passable fragments
✔ May offer a shorter recovery compared to some surgical procedures
✔ Treatment is performed under specialist medical care
