WHATS YOUR DIAGNOSIS?

CASE SCENARIO

👨🏽‍🌾 Meet Mr. B, a 52-year-old farmer from a rural village.
He presents with: Fatigue, Abdominal swelling, Yellowing of the eyes and Occasional confusion.

🩺 On exam: Distended abdomen with shifting dullness, Spider angiomas on his chest, Palmar erythema and hand tremors

Mr B has History of Chronic alcohol use for over 20 years (locally brewed alcohol). However, no known hepatitis B or C

🧪 Lab results: Low albumin, Elevated bilirubin, Prolonged PT/INR and Low platelets.

🖥️ Ultrasound: shows Shrunken, nodular liver with ascites.
