Yesterday,Ndola District Health Office launched a “Youths Against Malaria”project for youths in 3 schools in Ndola.This project will involve training of malaria peer educators and implementation for 6 months.
The schools are Chipulukusu Secondary, Mapalo Primary and Itawa Secondary school respectively . This project is supported my malaria partners international through the Rotary Club of Ndola Central

Ndola District Health office participated in this year’s Quality Improvement(QI)conference for Region 1 which had Central and Northwestern province having participated as well.

Congratulations to Matron Barbara Lutangu for being one of the best presenters ,being handed an opportunity to go and present her QI project at the bigger stage,National level.
This is encouraging and may we all be motivated to do this in our areas of work to ensure we improve on qualify and ultimately contribute to the health of the community.

Ndola District Health Office last week held a three(3)days Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers(VHF) Simulation Exercise (Simex),particularly Ebola,at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport with support from Copperbelt Provincial Health Office and Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI).

This is engagement incorporated other critical departments under One-Health approach to ensure that the preparedness to fight Ebola is an organized effort.

Ndola District Health Office yesterday handed over motor bikes to 5 CBVs who will work in the drive initiative project by UNICEF.Their role will be to delivery vaccines upto the outreach point. This will surely play a critical role in ensuring that no child is left without being vaccinated.
