Today I found myself sitting quietly and reflecting on the different shifts in my life.
The day I got married.
The day I enrolled into a program that pushed me far outside my comfort zone.
The day I graduated from a public speaking school I once believed I could never complete.
The day I found myself in Dubai—after once only promising myself that “one day” I would go.
Looking at it all, I realized something powerful… life really is a journey.
Sometimes we find ourselves in seasons where we genuinely believe we may never accomplish anything because we feel too broken, too behind, or too unqualified. But time has a way of revealing that those very places were not the end of the story, they were the beginning of becoming.
Even the name I gave my foundation, Joy Activated, speaks to this truth. To activate is to bring into motion what already exists within you. It is the process of awakening, rebuilding, and stepping into wholeness again.
And that is exactly what this space represents a safe place for women who are overcoming abuse, rediscovering themselves, and learning that their story is not over.
I am grateful for the journey. Every step, every stretch, every “I didn’t think I could” shaping who I am becoming.
And as I reflect on all of this… something beautiful is also on the horizon.
An event is loading soon for Joy Activated—a space of healing, hope, and restoration.
