Happy Global Running Day! πŸƒπŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ’š

8 years ago, I started running, and what began as a fitness activity became a lifestyle that has shaped who I am today.

Running has taught me discipline, resilience, patience, and the importance of showing up for myself even on the days when I don’t feel like it. It has carried me through challenges, celebrated victories with me, connected me to incredible people, and become one of the most powerful tools in my wellness journey.

Today, I celebrate every mile, every early morning, every finish line, and every lesson learned along the way.

Here’s to running for physical health, mental wellness, community, and joy.

Keep moving. Keep growing. Keep striding. πŸ’š

As we come to the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s important to remember that mental health conversations and support should continue beyond just one month. 🧠❀️

People often think running is only about fitness, weight loss, or pace… but for many of us, it has become so much more than that. πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈβœ¨

Running can be one of the most powerful tools for supporting your mental health and emotional wellbeing. Some days, a run becomes therapy. Some days, it becomes a release. And other days, it simply helps you get through the day a little lighter.

Here are 5 ways running helps with mental health:

✨ 1. Running helps reduce stress
Movement helps release tension from the body and gives your mind a chance to reset.

✨ 2. It improves your mood
Those post-run endorphins can leave you feeling calmer, happier, and more energized.

✨ 3. It helps with anxiety and overthinking
Focusing on your breathing, your steps, and the present moment can help quiet an overwhelmed mind.

✨ 4. Running builds confidence
Every run reminds you that you are capable of doing hard things β€” physically and mentally.

✨ 5. It creates connection and community
Running with others reminds you that you are not alone. Supportive communities can make a huge difference in mental wellbeing.

Running is not just about fitness. Sometimes it’s about finding yourself again.

Still evolving. Still healing. Still building. Still becoming.

I am learning that growth is not always loud or visible. Sometimes it looks like choosing yourself again and again, showing up consistently, and becoming more aligned with the life you truly want ✨❀️

Some days are harder than others, and that’s why support, connection, and community matter so much. πŸ’š

This Mental Health Month, I’m choosing to be intentional about creating more good days β€” through movement, rest, healing, conversations, and showing up for myself and others.

A reminder that you don’t have to go through everything alone. One kind word, one check-in, or one safe space can make a difference.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🀍

I started running for fitness… but somewhere along the way, it became part of my healing journey too. πŸƒπŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Running has helped me through anxiety, heavy days, overthinking, and moments when I didn’t feel like myself. It gave me space to breathe, process, release, and slowly heal.

This is your reminder to take care of your mental health in whatever way you can β€” one step, one breath, one day at a time. 🌿
