Today, Health Professions Authority Zimbabwe (HPA), alongside the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MDPCZ) and the Medical Rehabilitation Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MRPCZ), successfully convened for our Joint Annual General Meeting in Harare. This high-level gathering brought together key regulatory bodies, healthcare leadership, and practitioners to discuss about our collective progress, address industry developments, and realign our strategic priorities toward enhancing healthcare standards, safety, and professional ethics across Zimbabwe.

PUBLIC NOTICE‼️

It has come to the attention of the HPA that there are some facilities operating without the requisite registration or qualified personnel, offering services such as drug and substance abuse rehabilitation and other forms of mental rehabilitative care. These illegal facilities often lack appropriate infrastructure, and adherence to established medical protocols. This poses serious risks to patients, including substandard care, abuse and neglect, administration of harmful or unproven treatment and lack of recourse.
