The Minister of Health and Child Care, Hon. Dr. Douglas Mombeshora, today officially launched the Clinical Guidelines on the Care and Management of Survivors of Sexual Violence in Zimbabwe. This document establishes a standardised, evidence based and survivor centered framework to ensure every survivor regardless of gender or background receives timely, professional, compassionate and dignified care across the entire national healthcare system. Recognising that sexual violence is a critical public health, human rights and development issue, the guidelines reinforce core principles of confidentiality, informed consent and non-discrimination.
