Jokes aside, I absolutely love the feeling of accomplishment after a workout. There really is nothing quite like it. My thing is bodybuilding and yoga, I hate bootcamp style stuff, bodypump makes no sense and I’m too shy to go for a dance class with people I don’t know but it’s on my goals list 👀

I’m also incredibly grateful to have access to a ladies-only space. In the past, I used the mixed gym area as well for certain machines, but over time I stopped going there altogether.

No matter what anyone says, the male gaze is still a thing and it’s not something I want to be thinking about at all during my workouts. Unfortunately, this gym that I’ve been going to for over 10 years, will be closing the ladies’ section some point soon, so it looks like I’ll need to start thinking about a Plan B. Until then, I’ll keep enjoying the workouts... and the free entertainment between sets. 😉

Girls and boys, today we’re introducing a new English word but ‘with a French twist’🧑🏼‍🎨😂 And yes, it’ll make you smile, giggle or maybe even laugh during your prayers like it did with me when it crossed my mind 🫣

It’s wild how our view and feelings about something can instantly change by just looking at it from a diifferent lens. I literally went from deep annoyance (hello pitta fire energy) to a delirious laughing fit in the span of 1 second. 😂 🤪

It made me think how much of life do we miss out on because we are so emotionally dependent on the expected outcome? 🥺

After hearing the story, tell me, would your initial reaction have been like mine or like my cousin’s? 😛

I never imagined in a million years that I would ever wear the hijab. I proudly labelled myself as a liberal Muslim and it felt good that I could be both East and West in a ‘perfect’ way.

I started to cover 16 yrs ago, when I was about 29. The choice was a result of having built my faith and knowledge to a level that I felt an urgent pull to follow the command of Allah (SWT). That’s it, really. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m grateful that my husband was fine with it, although I was in a very different spiritual place when we had gotten married.

The hijab (and everything it involves) has not always been easy for me and I hope I can cling to it for the rest of my life. If at any stage, I don’t, it would be because of my own weakness, not a denial of Allah’s Command.

Today, I want to give a shout out to every Muslim woman who tries her best with her level of understanding and the inner battles she is fighting that nobody knows about.

And a reminder to everyone that kindness comes first, that we’re all imperfectly human, whether we wear niqabs or bikinis. No one knows the depths of another’s soul so we leave all judgement to Allah (SWT). ⚖️

Thank you for witnessing my story 🤍

Anger is a natural emotion. It arises to protect us, alert us to boundaries that have been crossed, or signal that something within us needs attention.

But when anger isn’t acknowledged, processed and released, this charged energy doesn’t simply disappear. It lingers beneath the surface on a cellular level, shaping our thoughts, draining our energy, creating unnecessary stress, controlling our lives and ruining our health. Many people spend their wholes lives in a stuck loop. 🔁

Healing from the inside out is about learning how to move through our heavy emotions, understand their messages, and let them go so they no longer control us.

What would your life and your health look like if you stopped reliving old hurts and started creating space for healing and fresh energy? 🪄

❤️

I’m a passionate Leo. I have a fire in me that sometimes even I struggle to tame 😂. I also learned over time that I’m not for everyone and that’s alright.

Some people will love your intensity, your energy, your boldness. Others will find it “too much” or feel triggered by it.

But the right people will never ask you to dilute yourself and they will actually want even more of you.

Your reminder that not everyone is meant to understand you, connect with you, or resonate with your energy — and that doesn’t make you “too much.”

It just makes you authentic. 🫶🏻

It makes you *you* and the world needs more of it. 💫

We often throw around words like they’re no big deal, but words carry energy and shape our reality 🪄. The way we speak to ourselves, the labels we repeat, the things we casually say about our lives, our bodies, or other people — it all influences our reality more than we realize.

Words can heal us or words can hurt us.
Words can reinforce fear or they can create space for growth.

So are *your* words helping you heal or keeping you stuck? 💭

We all carry baggage. No one moves through life with a clean slate — no matter how much healing, growth, or inner work we’ve done.

And that’s the beauty of the human experience.

Our struggles allow us to relate to one another, hold space for one another, and help heal one another - even if it is not done intentionally.

So instead of striving to be perfect, maybe the goal is simply to become more compassionate — with ourselves and with others 🪄

What can you do today to make someone’s life feel a little lighter and a little brighter? Even in the smallest way.

“The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.” (Hadeeth from Al-Tabarani)
