🎡✨ Learning & Growing at the Alice Springs Show! 🎉
Today, we had another meaningful community outing! But this time, the highlight wasn't just the rides—our amazing little superstar took the lead and taught us all how to buy coupons/tickets for the rides! 👶🎟️🎡
Stepping up to the ticket box in a noisy, buzzing carnival area is a huge milestone. This real-life practice helps children develop vital independence and functional skills:
🌱 Communication – Confidently interacting with staff to buy ride tickets.
🌱 Life Skills – Understanding transactions and managing items before jumping on a ride.
🌱 Patience & Regulation – Navigating busy queues and waiting for their turn amidst exciting sights and sounds.
🌱 Confidence – Taking charge of the task and feeling a massive sense of achievement.

🎡✨ Exploring Alice Springs Show Together 🎉

Today we enjoyed a wonderful community outing to the Alice Springs Show! 🌟

It was a great opportunity for children to experience a busy community environment, explore new activities, and practise important life skills in a fun and meaningful way. 💛

❤️ Learning About Emotions & Everyday Needs ❤️

Today we explored different emotions and talked about some basic physical needs, such as feeling hungry or thirsty and what we can do to meet those needs.

We also discussed the connection between situations, feelings, and behaviours, helping children develop a better understanding of why emotions happen and how to respond appropriately.

This video only shows a few short moments from our session, but every small step helps build emotional awareness, communication, and independence. 🌱✨

🏍️ A fun day at Finke! ✨

Today we enjoyed a wonderful community outing and watched the Finke motorbike races.

We saw lots of motorbikes, enjoyed some delicious treats, and had fun on the jumping castle and rides. 🎡🍩🍦

Community experiences like these provide great opportunities to practise communication, waiting skills, social interaction, and confidence in real-life settings.

Most importantly, we had lots of fun and created some great memories together. 💛
