Thursdays 7:00am–10:00am

Most afternoons from 3:00pm onwards

Ella:

Flexible for shorter 2-3 hour shifts as needed

This is a little something CLM put together for one of our clients living with Dementia. We hope this ’busy box’ keeps there hands and brain busy in the right way, this will hopefully encourage positive cognitive and fine motor skills. 🧩🧠💜💜

Short-term accommodation (STA) is an NDIS support that gives participants time apart from their usual care arrangements. We’ve made some changes to help participants only claim for the supports they actually receive.

From today, we’ve replaced the previous fixed daily rate with separate line items for the costs of:

👉 participant accommodation

👉 support worker accommodation

👉 support hours from a support worker.

Participants who use STA supports should talk to their providers about what this change means for them and any future bookings they may have.

Volunteer trainee hospital chaplain Elizabeth Bester is helping patients and families feel heard, supported and less alone during difficult times 💙⛪

Volunteering three afternoons a week at Bundaberg Hospital, Elizabeth offers a calm and caring presence for those needing emotional and spiritual support.

“I love hearing people’s stories, and I feel called to accompany others spiritually and emotionally,” Elizabeth said. “Even a short conversation can reduce isolation.” 😌
