Three sessions, three teams, one goal, helping OTs and mobility professionals get hands-on with the right ramp for the job.

This September we’re back on the road for Tyrex Training, all starting at 9:30am:

📍 16th — Country Care Group, Warrawong
📍 17th — Country Care Group, Nowra
📍 18th — Open Mobility, Goulburn

These sessions are free and built for OTs, stockists, and home mod teams who want practical, hands-on time with our access ramps.

Know someone on the South Coast who’d benefit? Tag them below, or save this post so you’ve got the dates handy.

Every Tyrex ramp starts like this, hand-laid, not machine pressed.

Someone’s in there with a trowel for every single ramp, working the rubber mix in by hand.

It’s not the fastest way to do it, but it’s the way that gets it right.

Curious how it all comes together? Ask us anything below!

Not all ramps are about getting into a home, some are about staying dry once you’re there.

When a shower hob is removed for step-free access, water needs somewhere to go. This Tyrex shower ramp follows the exact shape of the shower area, keeping the area accessible while containing the water where it belongs, no lip to trip on, no pooling where it shouldn’t be.

Small detail, but it’s the difference between an accessible shower and a wet floor every time.

Great work from the team at MWP Care on this one!

Save this if you’re weighing up hob removal for a bathroom Reno, worth knowing this option exists.

Not every ramp needs to be permanent.

This one’s a temporary event access ramp, built to be brought out, set up and packed away again whenever it’s needed.

Here’s our Operations Manager Troy testing one out on site.

Running an event or managing a venue with accessibility gaps on the day? This is exactly the kind of problem we solve.

Three measurements. That’s where every Tyrex ramp starts, we call them A, B and C.

A — Height. The total height your ramp needs to cover. Our tip: always measure both sides, as they can differ.

B — Length. Measured from the step (or back) out to the front, this determines how far the ramp needs to run.

C — Width. Measured side to side, if you’re working with a doorway, this should be the width of that opening.

These are the three we always start with, some jobs need a few extra measurements depending on the site, but get A, B and C right and everything else follows.

Want the full walkthrough on how we measure for a ramp? Comment “Measure” and we’ll send you a DM with the next steps!

Great work from the team at Thrive Mobility, who fitted a Tyrex ramp to help Grant, Captain of the Norwood Wheelchair Football Club, get over his sliding door threshold at home.

It’s good to know he will no longer have to “worry about one-handed bunny hops while carrying a coffee”!

Brilliant work again by Thrive Mobility, and we wish you a great season Grant!

Tyrex Ramp Report

“You can’t do a ramp that long”, actually we can.

This ramp is 4 metres long, manufactured in multiple sections rather than one continuous piece. Breaking it up meant easier transport to site and a straightforward install alongside the home, no wrestling one unwieldy 4m length into place.

A lot of people assume long or awkward access points rule out a rubber ramp. They don’t, multi-piece manufacturing is exactly what makes ramps like this possible.

This install was completed by Ramp Ability a repeat Tyrex partner who also features in our very first Ramp Report.

Save this one for the next time a long ramp feels like it may not be possible.

Several years on, and still in exceptional condition, that’s the kind of feedback that means the most to us.

Stephanie’s family has relied on their Tyrex ramps for front and back access ever since her husband’s leg surgeries, and they’re still holding up exactly as they should.

Made to measure and built to last, that’s the whole idea.
