💉 Will your COVID-19 vaccine still be free?

From 1 October 2026, changes to Australia’s government-funded COVID-19 vaccination program will affect who is eligible for a free vaccine.

Free vaccination will remain available for certain groups, including older Australians, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50–74, and adults with severe immunocompromise.

Not eligible for a free vaccine? You may still have the option to receive one privately.
