Registered Nurse - Wound Management & Lymphoedema Specialist (Casual)

Join Our Growing Specialist Wound & Lymphoedema Service

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years’ experience and expertise in wound management and lymphoedema care to join our specialist team on a casual basis (1-2 days per week).

This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality specialist care across both in-clinical setting and offsite patient home visits, supporting individuals with complex wound and lymphoedema management needs.

About the Role
Working as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment and ongoing management of patients with acute and chronic wounds, oedema and lymphoedema. The role includes clinic-based services as well as offsite visits to patients in their homes, delivering personalised care and supporting positive patient outcomes.

Essential Criteria
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience in wound assessment and management.
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community-based home visits.

Desirable Qualifications
• Postgraduate qualification in Wound Management, or
• Accreditation as a Lymphoedema Practitioner, or
• Current enrolment in a recognised postgraduate wound or lymphoedema qualification program.
• Experience in community nursing, outpatient services, or specialist wound care settings.

Understanding Lymphodema is essential for all clinicians however not all clinicians understand Lymphodema.

Understanding when to refer is so important as this is a specialised area of care.

At Liberation Holistic Health we have Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioners.
What this means?

We can assess, diagnose, manage and treat Lymphodema/chronic oedema. We treat lower and now UPPER limb (NEW SERVICE)

We have an upper limb Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner joining our team in the VERY near future.

We will be taking bookings for this service very soon but if you want to get ahead of the rush, give us a call on 5480 6417 and put your name down on our list.

What We Do at Liberation Holistic Health Echuca?

Liberation Holistic Health Echuca is a community‑focused health service providing specialised wound care, lymphoedema management, and evidence‑informed wellness support. Our team includes accredited lymphoedema practitioners, advanced wound‑care clinicians, and practitioners trained in nutrition and chronic‑condition management. This allows us to offer high‑quality care close to home, reducing the need for people to travel long distances for specialist support.

We are a PROUD Clinical Partner of Wounds Australia and Practitioners AHPRA and Accredited with Australasian Lymphology Association.

We help community members manage swelling, chronic wounds, skin health, and long‑term conditions through personalised treatment, education, and practical guidance. Our clinic also offers a carefully selected range of therapeutic products, compression garments, and wellness items, with staff available to help clients choose what best supports their needs.

We also have Cindy's Pantry which is a small health food shop located in Shop 2, 65-73 Nish St, Echuca, where we stock speciality items such as low carb, keto friendly, gluten free packet mixes, cakes, bread, protein bars, snack foods, as well as organic herbs and spices (yes Celtic Salt and Ceylon Cinnamon), Fertile Gut, Sigvaris Travel Socks, Cedarwood Road, and even candles. We do special orders for those items we might not have on our shelves.

Accessibility, kindness, and clear communication are central to our approach. We take time to listen, explain options, and ensure every person feels supported and confident in their care. Many clients come to us when they need help navigating complex health concerns, and we work closely with local practitioners, visiting specialists, and community organisations to strengthen shared care.

Whether someone needs specialist clinical support, guidance on managing a chronic condition, or help choosing the right product, our goal is to make health care easier, clearer, and more accessible for the Echuca–Moama community.

Hours of operation:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8:30am -5pm
Tuesday and Friday 9am-5pm
Saturday 10am to 12noon (during winter as not many people around- will reassess in warmer weather)
