You can't really force a young man to open up. Anyone who's tried knows that. The harder you push the conversation, the faster it shuts down.
So we don't push. We put a game in front of everyone instead. Someone's guessing, a few of the guys are acting it out, and the pressure to "be social" disappears completely because everyone's just focused on the game.
And then the part we love happens. The game ends and the conversation keeps rolling. They learned something about each other in the chaos, and that becomes the thing they keep talking about.
That's social confidence getting built without anyone realising it's happening.
