As part of Carers Week 2026, AWARE Group is excited to invite carers from Tom Price and Paraburdoo to join us for a special morning of creativity, connection and a little well-deserved time for yourself at beautiful Cheela Plains supported by Carers WA and Lotterywest, celebrating Carers Week 2026 💜

🎨 MOSAIC MAKING WORKSHOP
Get creative and make your very own beautiful mosaic piece to take home!

☕ A MORNING TO CONNECT & RELAX
Meet other local carers, enjoy some time away from your usual responsibilities and simply enjoy being surrounded by people who understand.

🚌 FREE BUS TRANSPORT
A free bus will be available for carers travelling from Tom Price and Paraburdoo, thanks to the wonderful Garduwarra Mia Community & Youth Support Services Inc.
Only 9 bus seats are available, so make sure you select the bus option when registering if you need transport.

Triple P - Positive Parenting Program, Stepping Stones Triple P Online. A free, practical parenting program designed to support parents and carers of children with disability, neurodiversity and additional needs.

It offers simple, evidence-based strategies to help with everyday challenges like bedtime, communication and getting out the door.

✨ No diagnosis needed
✨ No referral or waitlist
✨ No travel or childcare required
✨ Completely free and online

You know your child best, and you can choose the strategies that work for your family.

A great resource for families, especially those living regionally and remotely.

Parents and carers of children with disability can help them with key life skills, respond to their unique needs, manage daily routines, build their social skills and more. Positive strategies support the whole family.

A simple question can change someone’s day or even their life.

Today is a reminder to check in with the people around us. Your friend, neighbour, workmate, family member, or someone you haven’t heard from in a while.

Ask, “Are you OK?” Then take the time to really listen.

At AWARE Group, we know that many carers, people living with disability, and families carry a lot behind the scenes. You don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes being there is enough.

So today, and everyday reach out. Send a message. Make a phone call. Have a coffee together.

Let’s remind each other that no one has to go through life alone.

Does your child struggle with reading, spelling, writing or concentration?

This is a great opportunity for families in our community.

The Dyslexia & Irlen Clinic WA will be in Tom Price on Thursday, 24 September 2026 (PM only), offering Irlen Syndrome pre-assessments.

Many children and adults who experience reading difficulties, dyslexia, ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, or concentration challenges may benefit from an Irlen screening.

Appointments are essential.

What an amazing workshop being delivered from Nintirri Centre and Chrissy Lacey!

Sleep can look very different for neurodivergent children, and traditional sleep advice doesn’t always account for sensory processing, anxiety, regulation, demand avoidance or individual developmental differences.

Join neuroinclusive sleep consultant and parent educator Chrissy Lacey from Sleepy Smalls Co for an interactive two-hour workshop exploring why sleep can be more complex for neurodivergent children and the practical adaptations that can make a difference.

Our sensory outdoor space is starting to REALLY come together, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🥹🌈🧩

A very special THANK YOU to the absolute legend Nick, from Pilbara Allscapes, who has generously donated his time, skills and equipment as an in-kind donation to AWARE 🙌🏼💚

Nick has been working hard behind the scenes getting all of our reticulation sorted and doing the preparation work to get the area ready for our next exciting stage, that started today, some lush, green grass! 🌱😍

What might of looked like a bit of dirt, pipes and machinery, has turned into the beginning of something SO incredibly special 🥹

We are building a space where our neurodivergent children, young people and families can play, connect, regulate, explore, feel safe and simply be themselves. 💚
