We’ve all heard a recording of ourselves and immediately thought… absolutely not. 😂🎙️

But your phone isn’t doing you dirty, you’re just hearing your voice differently than you normally do.

When you speak, sound reaches your inner ear through both the air AND vibrations through the bones in your skull (called bone conduction). That combination makes your own voice sound deeper and fuller to you.

A recording? It takes away that bone-conduction experience.

So yes… that voice in the recording is much closer to the one everyone else has been hearing this whole time.

Hearing shouldn’t feel like hard work, and if it does, you deserve a break.

When your brain is constantly filling in the blanks, piecing together conversations or working harder to process sound, it can take more energy than you realize.

A hearing test isn’t a pass-or-fail test.

It gives us a much bigger picture of how your hearing is working, from the softest sounds you can detect at different frequencies to how clearly you understand speech and whether one ear is performing differently than the other.

And that matters because hearing loss doesn’t look, sound or feel the same for everyone.

The more we understand about your hearing, the more personalized your hearing care can be.

Hearing loss doesn’t always look like “not being able to hear.” 👂

Sometimes it looks like struggling to follow conversations in noisy restaurants, missing what someone said in a group, relying on lip reading, or smiling and nodding because asking “what?” one more time feels like too much. 😂

If certain places are becoming harder to hear in, it may be time for a complimentary hearing test.

Because life is too short to keep guessing what everyone said. 🤍
