Some people get star struck meeting a singer or an actor. Gerda Krebs did that for me.🥹

She’s 95 years old and still teaching yoga.

Our meeting today left me smiling and giddy! She is so full of energy, so full of life, it’s hard to put into words.

I feel lucky to have sat down with her, to ask what matters most to her when she’s teaching teachers. In her eyes, I’m still just a youngster starting out. (😅I don’t feel young - but she helps to put life into perspective).

She’s learned from Friedel Khattab and so many others over the years, and her teaching style is deeply shaped by her background as a gymnast. She focuses on the physical side of yoga, more than the spiritual.

But don’t let that fool you: Her class was still deeply spiritual: breathwork, meditation, movements to open the meridians in the body, and gongs during our savasana. 🌬️🙏🏻

She’s created her own sequence for anxiety, vagal nerve tone, strength, clarity, brain health, balance, and courage.

It was an absolute honour to come full circle and take Gerda’s class again, 25 years later. 🤍🌿
