Massage Essentials & Etiquette: Products & Sensitivities

Please let me know about any sensitivities or allergies to scents, topical products, or environmental factors (such as strong pet dander or specific food triggers). Ideally, these are noted in your intake form, and you’re always welcome to update me if anything changes.

I will always do my best to minimize exposure to known sensitivities within the treatment room. However, please note that I work within a shared co-working space, and I am unable to fully control the broader environment.

The products currently used in my practice include Flo Aromatherapy massage oils (made with fractionated coconut oil, available in both blended and unscented options), essential oil diffuser blends, Japanese mint oil with arnica, and a lavender water linen spray.

For foot-focused treatments, I now use Eucerin Complete Repair 5% Urea, which supports hydration and skin barrier health while gently softening dry or rough skin. In some cases, a 40% urea cream may be used for more intensive callus or thickened skin care when appropriate.

I continue to use Flo Aromatherapy products for general massage work, chosen for their quality, versatility, and availability in both scented and unscented formulations to support client comfort.

If you have any concerns or sensitivities, please let me know prior to your appointment so adjustments can be made wherever possible to support your comfort and safety.

Sharing a look at June’s schedule, including studio days and any planned time off, as we head into the summer season ☀️

With school wrapping up for many kids and teens, routines and schedules often begin to shift. This can be a great time to prioritize self-care and stay ahead of summer busyness by planning your massage appointments in advance.

A gentle reminder that I offer a consistent care benefit for clients who rebook within 2 weeks or 4 weeks. These shorter intervals not only support your body in maintaining progress between sessions, but also come with a small thank-you in the form of a reduced rate as part of that ongoing care.

Many clients find that booking ahead helps them stay more consistent with their treatment plan, while also securing preferred appointment times during busier seasons.

There may also be some updates to studio hours and availability coming later this summer and into the fall, and I’ll share more details as plans are finalized.🌺

Client Feedback Survey Update

First, thank you for your patience with this update — I know it took me a little longer than expected to share the survey results and changes. I truly appreciate everyone who took the time to complete my recent client feedback survey.

Your input is genuinely valued and helps shape how I continue to grow and improve my practice. Based on your feedback, I’ve now added a “Book Here” button directly to the homepage of my website for easier access. I’ll also be announcing another change inspired by your feedback shortly.

I’m very grateful for the thoughtful responses, suggestions, and support, and I’ll likely share another feedback opportunity in 6–12 months.💛

Out of Office Reminder!

Just a friendly reminder that I will be away from the studio from May 15–25, 2026 and will have limited access to texts and emails during this time. Responses may be delayed until I return.

I also no longer have any appointment availability remaining before I leave, but I’ll be happy to help arrange bookings or reschedules for after May 25 once I’m back in the studio.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and I look forward to seeing you soon!😊

May Availability 🤍

Here’s my availability for May as we move into a new month of care and reset.

Please note that I will be away from May 15–25, and will not be available for appointments during this time. I encourage anyone hoping to book around that window to reach out early, as spots before and after my time away tend to fill quickly.

As always, you can view current openings or join the waitlist if your preferred time isn’t available—I’ll do my best to accommodate where I can.

Looking forward to seeing you in studio this month 🤍

Walking for something bigger 🤍

I’m currently taking part in the Canadian Cancer Society’s Walk for Cancer, aiming to complete 50km this month in support of an incredible cause.

As of today, I’ve completed 7.78km, and it’s been a beautiful reminder that progress doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful—small steps really do build over time.

If you’re able, I would be so grateful for any donations in support of cancer research and care services. Every contribution makes a difference.

And if you’re not able to donate, I invite you to still be part of it in your own way—by stepping outside, taking a short walk, or creating a small moment of pause in your day.

It all adds up 🤍

🌿 Spring Update + April Availability 🌿

As we ease into spring, there’s often a gentle shift—longer days, a bit more light, and a natural pull to come out of winter. It can also be a time where the body is still catching up, needing a little extra care and support.

I wanted to share a few small updates from the studio:
• Memberships will be retired as of April 1
• A simple re-booking option is now available to support more consistent care
• The studio will be closed May 15–25

Following along with last week’s post, I’ll also be taking part in the Walk 50km for Cancer this April—something that feels very close to my heart 🤍 If it feels meaningful to you, you’re welcome to learn more or join in through the link in my bio.

April availability is now open, including some evening and weekend appointments. If your body has been asking for a little attention, this can be a nice time to get something in the calendar.

As always, you’re welcome to book whenever it feels supportive for you.

Wishing you a season with a little more lightness, ease, and care 🌸

🌿 New Offering: Oncology Massage

At the end of February (February 26–28), I travelled to Edmonton to complete Authentic Roots: Oncology Massage Training with the wonderful Jen and an incredible group of practitioners. It was an inspiring few days that deepened my understanding of how to safely and compassionately support clients who are currently undergoing cancer treatment or who have been affected by cancer.

Oncology massage is an adaptive approach to massage therapy. Sessions are thoughtfully tailored based on each client’s diagnosis, treatment history, and how they are feeling that day.

For those who have received massage in the past, this may look a little different than what you’re used to — but these adaptations allow massage to remain a supportive and safe option during a very complex time.

My goal is always to provide a calm, supportive space where your body can rest and your nervous system can settle.

If you or someone you know may benefit from oncology-informed massage care, you’re welcome to reach out to learn more. 🤍

📋 Why Health History Forms Matter

A gentle reminder about the importance of keeping your Client Intake and Health History forms up to date.

These forms help me provide care that is safe, supportive, and tailored to your needs. Completing them 24–48 hours before your appointment allows time to review your information and note any considerations or adjustments that may support your session.

Updating your health history:
• supports your safety and comfort
• allows sessions to be thoughtfully adapted to your needs
• ensures appropriate time and setup if additional supports are helpful

Clients are asked to update their health history at least once per year, and anytime there are changes to medications, diagnoses, injuries, or other health-related information. Significant updates to clinic or studio policies may also require a new intake form.

For certain treatments (such as cupping or work in more sensitive areas), or for specific health circumstances (including oncology-focused care), additional forms may be needed to ensure your session is approached with care and intention.

Thank you for taking the time to share this information—it plays an important role in creating a safe and supportive experience for you. 🌿

March general availability 🌿

Thank you so much to everyone who reached out with birthday wishes last week — I truly felt the love and appreciate this community more than you know. 🤍

A few scheduling notes for upcoming time away:
• This week: February 26–28
• March 23–25
• Extended time off: April 11–19

If you have a preference for evenings or weekends in April, I encourage you to pre-book, as those appointments will be more limited with the time away. My schedule runs on a rolling two-month basis, so most of April is now open for booking.

And a gentle heads up that there will be a pricing adjustment effective April 1 — further details to follow.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. ✨
