Big news for Cold Lake and surrounding communities!
CGA Medical Imaging is proud to announce an important step toward bringing MRI services to our Cold Lake clinic.
Today, Cold Lake Mayor Bob Mattice and Dr. Chander Gupta, Founder of CGA Medical Imaging Inc., signed an agreement establishing a partnership framework to bring an MRI machine to the community. Through this partnership, the City of Cold Lake will provide a $1.75 million loan toward the purchase of the MRI, while CGA Medical Imaging will oversee the renovations and expansion required to house and operate the new service.
Once installed, the MRI will be capable of full-body scans, with plans to eventually expand its capabilities to include cardiac imaging and breast cancer screening.
For us, this is about more than bringing new technology to a clinic. It is about expanding access to advanced diagnostic imaging and helping patients receive the care they need closer to home.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mayor Bob Mattice, the City of Cold Lake, and everyone involved for sharing our vision of strengthening healthcare services for the region.
There is still important work ahead, including working together toward recognition for referrals through Alberta Health Services, but today marks an exciting milestone.
