Have you ever reached the end of the day and realized your shoulders have been tense for hours?

Stress can show up in the body before we even recognize how overwhelmed we feel.

The upper trapezius is one area where many of us carry that tension. But pressing harder is not always the answer. Gentle pressure, a supported arm and comfortable breathing may give the body more opportunity to settle.

Avoid placing the ball directly on the neck or spine. Stop if you experience sharp discomfort, dizziness, numbness or tingling. Myofascial release is not about forcing your body to let go. It is about creating enough support for your body to respond.

Save this technique and learn more at the September 19 workshop!

The hardest ball isn’t always the best ball. 👀

If you’ve ever used a massage ball and thought, “It hurts, so it must be working,” this is your reminder that more pressure doesn’t always mean better results.

Different balls offer different levels of pressure, texture and support. The goal of myofascial release isn’t to fight through discomfort. It’s to find a tool that allows your body to relax, breathe and respond.

Sometimes that means a firm ball. Sometimes your body needs something softer. Learning the difference is part of the practice!

Want to actually learn how to use these tools on your own body?
