Nona Nazari is a Registered Acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner (herbalist), who received her doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine from the Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Nona’s areas of special interest include treating patients with psychological conditions, such as anxiety and depression. In addition, she focuses on working with patients who have unexplained infertility, autoimmune disorders, pain syndromes (chronic and acute), addictions, and chemical dependency issues. In her treatments, Nona uses some of the classical healing methods of Chinese medicine, which include cupping and moxibustion (a type of classical heat therapy).

Nona’s healing philosophy is to address all aspects of her patients—physical, emotional, and spiritual. She believes that to heal one dimension, all of the others must also be brought into balance. She says, "I believe that our bodies can heal themselves when they are provided with the right tools", and is committed to providing each patient with those tools.

After years of sports and the many injuries that come along with it, Keith has needed to rehabilitate through numerous conditions. This has changed his clinical practice to include movement techniques such as pin and stretch, contract-relax stretching and range of motion exercise. That being said he still understand the benefits of a good relaxation massage and rest. Massages regularly include circulatory and muscle relaxation strategies to help the body start to feel more mobile and easier to move.

Gut health is not just about what you eat. It is also about how your body is handling stress. Your body does not digest properly, or at all, when you are stressed. If digestion feels unpredictable, energy is low, or cravings are intense, it can be helpful to zoom out and ask:

Am I eating in a rush?
Am I skipping meals and then overdoing it later?
Am I living in fight-or-flight most days?

Try this simple reset:
Before your next meal, take 10 slow breaths and unclench your jaw.
It sounds almost too easy, but digestion works better when your nervous system is not bracing.
