This past Sunday, several members of our Sober Living program proudly participated in Estevanā€™s Max-Fun Colour Run 5K at Woodlawn Regional Park.

This event was about much more than crossing a finish lineā€“it was an opportunity to promote physical wellness, healthy substance-free recreation, and meaningful community engagement while having a lot of fun along the way. By participating in an event that fundraises for the Estevan Police Service, our residents also had the opportunity to engage in a positive, community-focused setting built around connection and giving back. Recovery is about more than abstinence; itā€™s about building a fulfilling life, developing a sense of belonging, and becoming active members of the community weā€™re proud to call home. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this opportunity possible.

We recently had the opportunity to participate in the HMS Horse Based Healing program once again.

Through guided, hands-on experiences with horses, participants are supported in building emotional awareness, trust, connection and self-reflection. The program provides a safe, supportive environment where participants can explore personal growth in a meaningful and experiential way.

We are incredibly grateful to the HMS team for the care, compassion and guidance they provide. They have been wonderful partners in supporting our clients throughout their recovery journeys.

Meet the staff!

This is Richard. He has been with St Joseph's for a little over a year as an Addiction Counsellor. Richard comes to St. Joseph's with 20 years experience in the Addiction/Treatment field and has great successes and a positive impact to the clients he serves. Richard, who is also in recovery, recently celebrated 32 years clean and sober. We are very grateful to have someone of Richard's caliber on our clinical team.

Today, we are honoured to recognize and celebrate these four amazing individuals as they complete the intensive treatment phase of their recovery journey at St. Joseph's Addiction Recovery Centre.

The road to recovery is not easy. It requires honesty, humility, resilience, and the willingness to face challenges that many people never see. Each of these graduates has demonstrated remarkable courage and determination, and today we celebrate not only the work they've accomplished, but also the hope they've chosen for their future.

While treatment is an important milestone, it is only the beginning of a lifelong journey of growth, healing, and connection. We are incredibly proud of each of you and grateful to have been a small part of your journey.
