WHO WE ARE:
Roadapple Ranch was started in 1996 by Mike Merriam and Kimberley Woolley because they wanted to have control of the quality of the meats they ate. As friends and family tried their products, it became clear that there was a demand for high quality meats produced in a more natural, organic and slow-paced environment. Through trial and error, the old breed stock that is currently bred and raised at Roadapple Ranch was selected for health, taste, and hardiness instead of the industry standard of size, growth rate, and fast profit. Today, Mike has given up his high-tech job in the city to dedicate more time to the production of quality meat products for people that care about what their families eat. We offer farm-gate sales of freezer meat and meat products, with fresh meat orders offered at special times of the year (such as turkeys for Thanksgiving or Christmas). WHAT WE GROW:
Belted Galloway Beef
English Large Black Pork
Cross-bred Wild Turkey
Commercial White Turkey
Special-Purpose Meat Chicken
Dual-Purpose Old Breed Chicken
Brown Chicken Eggs
Honey
WHAT MAKES OUR PRODUCTS DIFFERENT:
At Roadapple Ranch we raise old-breed animals, in free-range, drug-free environments. This allows time for the meat to build nutritional properties. The animals are not in a stressful environment so the meat produced is not subject to fear and stress related hormones produced by the animals themselvevs. Mothers raise their babies for as long as they need to nurse - imagine! Older breeds tend to have better taste and meat qualities (lower cholesteral, for example). Our prices are significantly higher than what you might see in the supermarket, representing the important and meaningful difference in the quality of the food we produce. MONEY-BACK SATISFACTION GUARANTEE:
Although we offer a no-questions-asked, money-back satisfaction guarantee on all of our products, we have NEVER been asked to honour it. In our years of operation, no one has ever expressed dissatisfaction with any of our products! PRICING:
Although pricing changes from time-to-time, currently our pricing is as follows:
