This salad is a perfect example of how eating for your body can be easy.

This salad is:
- premixed kale salad from Costco
-added avocado
-added tofu

This personally supports me because:

1. My body is slightly sensitive to carbs. I know this through my genetics. So this low-carb salad is perfect.

2. Raw cruciferous vegetables support my detox pathways and hormones.. check ✅️

3. I require very little protein, so a few slices of tofu are perfect for my needs.

In about 3 minutes, I have a nutritious meal that is specifically supporting my body.

Trying to eat healthy can be difficult, and expensive!

Right now some cheaper options would be kale cabbage or bok choy (which are still over priced) or skip the salad and make frozen veggies, for now.🥦🥬

Ps. Lettuce is cheap to grow on your own!😉

Your ferritin is low… but what does that actually mean?

It means your body is running low on its iron reserves . Not just what’s circulating in your blood, but what’s stored for when you need it most.

And when those stores are low, your body starts to slow down.

You might notice:
• Constant fatigue (even when you’re sleeping)
• Hair shedding more than usual
• Feeling weak or easily out of breath
• Brain fog or trouble concentrating
• Feeling cold all the time

Here’s where it gets confusing…
You can have “normal” iron on a blood test and still have low ferritin.

So while everything looks “fine” on paper, you don’t feel fine.

Low ferritin isn’t random. There’s always a reason:
• Not getting enough iron from food
• Poor absorption (gut health matters more than you think)
• Blood loss (heavy periods are a big one)
• Increased demand (stress, pregnancy, intense exercise)

The goal isn’t just to raise a number, but to understand why it’s low in the first place.

If you’ve been told “everything is normal” but you still feel exhausted… this might be a piece worth exploring.

If you have been diagnosed with low ferritin, but you are unable to increase those numbers, or no matter what you do, you are not feeling any better, come see me and we can discuss the right way to get you feeling better.
