Summer is here, and we are excited to announce the Zone 2 Summer Streak Challenge!
We’ve updated Phase 1 exercise guidelines. Now, we’re launching the IP Summer Streak Challenge: a season-long movement campaign built around a simple but powerful idea: show up for yourself, every single day. It's designed to keep you engaged, motivated, and moving, all summer long.
What is the Zone 2 Summer Streak Challenge?
The challenge centers on Zone 2 movement: exercise that brings your heart rate to 60-70% of your maximum. This corresponds to low- to moderate-intensity exercise. This type of movement is typically more effective for weight loss than high-intensity workouts, especially in Phase 1. Why? Zone 2 is the sweet spot where the body burns fat as its primary fuel source, working synergistically with the Ideal Protein Protocol.
In the Zone 2 Summer Streak Challenge, you participate by engaging in daily Zone 2 movement and sharing the content with our community on social or on Strava.
The goal: creating a wave of authentic IP client movement moments across social media, encouraging others to participate, celebrating our community’s progress, and inspiring long-term habit change.
To participate in the challenge, you are encouraged to:
Capture your daily movement. A quick photo or short video from each Zone 2 session. Any Zone 2 activity counts: walking, cycling, swimming, hiking, dancing, pickleball — if it moves the body at a moderate, conversational pace, it qualifies. Participants can engage in the Zone 2 activities that best suit their goals.
Post on Instagram, Facebook, or on the Ideal Protein Strava. Every post keeps the streak alive!
