While we’ve always loved the facial SPF options we carry, we felt like we were missing a really strong body SPF line. If you guessed our new product line was SPF, you got it!

Meet Bask Suncare ☀️

We are SO excited to finally introduce Bask to the clinic. As much as we love the SPFs we already carry, we felt like we were missing a really good everyday body SPF line. We wanted something lightweight, easy to wear, non-oily, and realistic for everyday life, especially during Okanagan summers.

After testing Bask behind the scenes, we quickly became obsessed. The non-aerosol sprays are such a game changer. They apply beautifully, feel lightweight on the skin, and are so much nicer to use than traditional aerosol sprays. We also loved that the line includes travel sizes, an invisible gel SPF, and a SPF serum, making it easy to find something that fits your routine.

Running is one of the best things you can do for your cardiovascular health, your mental health, and your long-term wellbeing.

How many layers does exfoliation actually remove? Less than most people think and that’s a good thing.

Healthy exfoliation typically removes only the outermost 3–4 layers of dead skin cells, known as the stratum disjunctum. These are the loosest, already-shedding cells sitting at the very top of the epidermis.

For context:
• The entire stratum corneum (your outermost skin layer) contains 10–30 layers of dead cells
• Those layers naturally shed over 2–4 weeks
• Gentle exfoliation simply supports this process, it doesn’t strip your skin
When exfoliation goes deeper than those top few layers, it’s no longer “helpful” it’s disruptive to the skin barrier.

This is why consistency and gentleness matter more than strength. The goal is smoother skin and better function, not thinning or irritation.
