Have you noticed the universe is dropping some major hints lately? If you’ve been walking around Downtown Langley this week, you’ve probably heard the rhythmic, chaotic symphony of acorns pelting the pavement. It’s raining tiny wooden spaceships and I’m 👏 here 👏 for 👏 it!!!

In the mundane world, it’s just autumn clearing house. But in our world? It’s a masterclass in cosmic timing, trust, and gravity.

Ok, think about it: the mighty Oak tree doesn’t anxiously hold onto its seeds, stressing about where they will land, whether the soil is perfect, or if a squirrel is going to pocket them for a rainy day. It just lets go. It trusts the drop.

Every single one of those little acorns contains the entire blueprint, the ABSOLUTE TOTALITY of a giant, ancient tree!! Talk about packing light for a big journey! It’s a whimsical little reminder from Mother Earth that you too already carry every ounce of magic, strength and potential you need to grow into your highest self. You don’t need to force it. You just need to ground.

Here is what she is bringing to the market:

Coby is the maker behind The Cottage Potion & Craft Co., where she creates whimsical, witchy things inspired by nature, folklore, sensory play, and a love of making things by hand. Her little shop is an ever-evolving collection of whatever magical things she’s currently excited about making; from ceramic cauldrons and mugs to hand brooms, fairy spoons, and bubbling, shimmering sensory potions.
Cottage Potion Co. grew out of creating a magical world with her kids. Making things together, playing outside, exploring nature, and finding magic in ordinary things. Coby hopes the things she makes invite people of all ages to slow down, play, and notice some of the small bits of wonder in the world around them.

Vin (she/they/he/it) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work draws inspiration from nature, folklore, and mythology. Born in Qingdao, China, and raised around the world, they now live and create in Vancouver. With a background in illustration from Emily Carr University and editing from VFS, Vincentia brings a playful, imaginative eye to their work.
At the market, Vin will be offering $30 caricatures per person - come get yourself, your friends, or your favourite chaos goblin turned into a little work of art!
