Good Morning, Monday 😊
Mondays themes: emotional, intuitive, introspection/connection, home, family, nourishment, rhythms/patterns, & rest - bringing us into awareness of our bodies and our feelings.
An ebb & flow kind of day.
Mondays energy invites us to stay connected to ourselves. They're about bringing us back to centre. Even on a full and busy day, small amounts of awareness can bring us there.
~Take an intentional breath in the car on your way to work.
~Pause for a few seconds while your tea or coffee steeps.
~Notice how your body feels while you eat your meals today. Be mindful of how you chew. Put your fork down in between bites.
Allowing yourself to fully experience every moment. These tiny pauses are powerful acts of self-nourishment.
Journal Prompts:
~What emotions are present for me today?
~Am I aware?
~What does my body need more of this week?
~Where could I give myself a little more care or gentleness?
~What am I feeling called toward right now?
Nourishment:
Monday is a beautiful day for comforting, hydrating, and easy-to-digest foods.
Think simple:
~Chowders, soups, & broths.
~Rice bowls, porridge, & smoothies.
~Root vegetables.
~Cucumbers & watery fruits.
~Herbal teas.
When you return home from work, nourishment doesn't have to be complicated, the key is to keep it simple.
A few ideas:
~Make a simple broth (our go to is Miso) and add veggies and/or rice.
~A rice bowl with cucumbers, avocado, sprouts, & cruciferous veggies.
~Roast root vegetables on a sheet pan while you unwind, like beets.
~A simple chowder or creamed soup; like cream of celery or broccoli & cauliflower - using home blended rice milk for desired consistency.
~Make a quick bowl of porridge with cinnamon & fruit.
Today's foods are to be comforting, hydrating, and easy for the body to receive.
Even the act of warming a bowl of your favorite dish can become a moment of care for yourself after a long, busy, day. Remember, tending to your inner world can happen in the smallest moments.
A breath, a warm meal, a moment of awareness, & grounding. It can be that simple.
