Midwives of Mississauga: MoM MoM: a midwifery practice serving Mississauga for more than thirty years offering home and hospital birth with privileges at Trillium Health Partners.

Midwives respect pregnancy as a state of health and childbirth as a normal process. Midwives promote decision-making as a shared responsibility and encourage clients to actively participate in all aspects of their care. Midwives focus on the appropriate use of technology and preventing complications. Midwives respect and support clients so that they may give birth safely, with power and dignity. R

egistered Midwives are primary care providers. We provide comprehensive care for pregnant folks throughout normal pregnancy, labour and birth and for both birthing clients and their babies for 6 weeks following the birth. Midwifery care is fully funded by the Ministry of Health. Give birth at a hospital or at home and receive safe, skilled care from your midwife.

On International Day of the Midwife, we’re celebrating the registered midwives at Trillium Health Partners who deliver safe, family‑centred care that is rooted in trust, connection and compassion.

Melanie was cared for by Trillium Health Partners’ midwife Erin, through her pregnancy and the birth of her daughter. She shared how having a care team that truly knows you builds comfort and confidence during life’s most vulnerable moments. As our midwives remind us, every birth space should help families feel supported and in control.

At Trillium Health Partners, this is what better care looks like: care that is connected, compassionate and built around the people we serve.
