“My goldfish are really piranhas / Things aren’t quite what they seem”

Sarah came to us with a song from her youth, a song that turned out to be a whole philosophy:

A reminder that appearances are rarely the whole story: in ourselves, other people, and the world that shapes us. Softness can be power, darkness can be a refuge, and the world doesn’t fit clean labels. The practice is openness: staying curious just long enough for the real meaning to surface.

We worked closely with Sarah to shape this piece from concept to final layout: dialing in the graphic indie punk style, sharpening the silhouettes and clean line breaks, balancing red splatter energy with that tension between innocence and bite, and finishing it with the font art + mirrored phrase that things aren’t quite what they seem. Hearing her explain why she chose it (and what it gives her) made the tattoo feel even more alive.

The Metamorphosis project began the way most real magic begins, with a question mark in the divine imagination. What if mythology became the engine of transformation? Not a story frozen in time, but a living museum where portraits step out of their frames, marble sculptures breathe with desire, and jewelry flows through our bodies the way music flows through our souls.

The Heart Key opens what we protect the most: intimacy, tenderness, devotion, the secret garden sanctuary you only discover once it’s safe.

The Skeleton Key is access to liberation, what slips through doubt, pries open the “impossible”, and bypasses the “rules” enforced by fear.

The Eye Key is spiritual insight; not surveillance, but radical knowing. It cuts through projection, distortion, and performance, rewiring the lens, dissolving masks, restoring vision to the soul.

🧠 Human X AI 🤖 creation notes: This music video is the same ritual in another language: An AI-assisted dreamscape grounded in lived human experience and real-world footage, celebrating a new matching tattoo sigil for my love and I, hand-made in our studio. The concept, tattoo design, lyrics, narrative flow, art direction, and editing were all created by us, with a heavy dose of machine-magic to stitch our myth into reality.

Some tattoos don’t “decorate” your body, they unlock something deeper within your soul.

A crescent sickle for the harvest of illusions, a lotus-mandala that opens in the underlight, and a keyhole at the centre that says enter if you dare: an eightfold seal sworn to those who go below, who rip the truth from its grave, and come back holding it like a blade.

A client () came to us with a vision: a crystal ball gripped by fate, the Abracadabra triangle burning inside. We designed the tattoo from scratch and brought in one of our master realist tattoo artists to etch the ritual into skin. Taylor (.iamart) captured and edited the alchemy; we added the post-production effects and scored it with a lo-fi, experimental hip-hop track—lyrics, voice, and music by × .
