Mindfulness can be a simple way to slow down, reconnect with the present and support your mental well-being.

Taking care of your mental health is an important part of taking care of your overall health. Try taking a few minutes today to pause, take some deep breaths or simply notice what’s happening around you.

As kids and teens head back to school, they may face new social situations and peer pressure. One of the best ways to help them navigate these moments is to start the conversation early.

Here are a few ways to prepare your child:
🚗 Have a plan. Let them know they can always call or text if they need a safe ride home.
💙 Build confidence. Remind them that it's okay to walk away from situations that don't feel right.
👂 Keep the conversation going. One talk isn't enough. Regular, judgment-free check-ins help build trust.

This International Youth Day, let's support young people by giving them the confidence and tools to make healthy choices at school, with friends and beyond.

Happy Breastfeeding Week to all the moms who are breastfeeding, pumping or have tried to breastfeed.

You can all be so proud of yourself for going on this journey with your baby.

Although breastfeeding is very natural it doesn’t always come naturally and can cause problems.

Did you know the P2P Primary Care Network has a Breastfeeding Clinic to help you with your challenges or to get prenatal lactation consultation?

The clinic is run by 2 international breastfeeding certified lactation consultants Shannon and Irma.

Irma just graduated from the Thompson method academy and is very excited to teach you about this.

Summer gets busy, but nourishing your body doesn't have to be complicated. ☀️

Keeping a few easy, nutritious snacks on hand can help you stay energized between meals and make it easier to meet your nutrition needs.

Try these nutrient-rich snack swaps:

🍓 Swap candy for fresh fruit
🥕 Swap chips for veggies with hummus or tzatziki
🥤 Swap sugary pop for plain or flavoured sparkling water
🍪 Swap cookies for apple slices with peanut butter or a handful of nuts

What are your favourite healthy snack swaps?

June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to recognize and celebrate the histories, cultures, knowledge and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

At our PCN, we are committed to listening, learning and taking meaningful action to support culturally safe and respectful care. Through education, partnerships with Indigenous communities, patient advocacy and creating welcoming spaces, we continue our journey toward reconciliation.

Today, and every day, we honour the strength, resilience and enduring presence of Indigenous Peoples.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Indigenous Peoples and reflecting on how we can all contribute to reconciliation in our communities. 👉 Click here for a list of Indigenous History Month events happening in communities across Alberta throughout June: https://bit.ly/indigenous-history-alberta-2026

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a timely reminder that supporting mental well-being is essential in both our personal and professional lives. It’s an opportunity to reduce stigma, encourage open conversations and prioritize self-care while also checking in on colleagues, friends and loved ones.

By fostering understanding and compassion, we can help create environments where everyone feels supported and empowered to seek help when they need it. 💚

If you or someone you know needs support, consider talking to your healthcare provider about available mental health resources and services.
