The second full moon of May, known as the Full Blue Moon, arrives in Sagittarius on Sunday, May 31, 2026, reaching peak illumination at 4:45 a.m. EDT.

This rare lunar event carries energy connected to release, completion, transformation, and new beginnings, while the Sagittarius influence encourages expansion, freedom, higher perspective, and personal growth.

Adding to its uniqueness, this is also considered a “Blue Micromoon,” occurring when the moon is at its farthest point from Earth. It may appear slightly smaller and dimmer than a typical full moon — a reminder that even softer light still holds powerful energy.
