Join us at the Port Perry Lakefront Farmers’ Market to celebrate Pollinator Day on Saturday May 23rd from 8 am - 3 pm.

Why Pollinator Day? These essential creatures help make our meals. One out of every three bites of food exists thanks to pollinators.

Come celebrate and bring your buzzing energy as there will be something for everyone.... A pollinator-themed scavenger hunt; an interactive presentation on “The Joy of Beekeeping” with us at 10 am and 1 pm; and shopping for your favourite pollinator plants, honey products and so much more!

2026 Events Calendar in the making. We have pretty much everything figured out until October, just working on putting everything on paper and figure out who goes where when we are double booked.

But here’s what we have in our calendar for May

🐝 Maplefest
May 2nd 9AM-5PM
Downtown Bowmanville
This is the first event of the year for us. Can’t wait to see everyone again! Hopefully the weather will be on our side

🐝 Workshop: The Joy of Beekeeping
May 3rd during Sunday school hours
Romanian Church Oshawa
This workshop will be held in Romanian 😁

🐝 Durham Region Beekeepers Association
May Meeting
May 4th 7PM -9PM
Greenbank Hall

These gummy bears are the best!
Toddler friendly as they are not chewy and sticky. Sooo… they are not a threat to fillings or baby teeth.

They look like gummy bears, taste amazing (you can make them as sweet as you’d like) but more teeth friendly. Ohhh… I bet my dentist would be so proud now 😁🤣

If you prefer them more firm, use up to 3 tsp of agar agar. We mentioned the fruit juices we had success with so far, if the juice used is too acidic, the agar agar might not set properly.
