Here are five simple Reiki grounding techniques
1. Reiki to the Feet: Place your hands on the tops of your feet or around your ankles. Allow Reiki to flow for 5–10 minutes while imagining your feet gently connecting with the Earth. Notice the support beneath you rather than trying to "force" yourself to feel grounded.
2. Kenyoku (Dry Bathing): Practice Kenyoku slowly and mindfully. As you sweep your hands across your body, allow the movement to clear away the energy of the day while bringing your awareness back into your own body. This is an excellent grounding practice before and after giving Reiki.
3. Hold a Stone with Reiki: Hold a stone, crystal, or natural object while allowing Reiki to flow. Focus on its weight and texture as a simple anchor to the present moment.
4. Reiki Walking Meditation: Take a slow walk outdoors while keeping Reiki flowing. Rather than focusing on your destination, notice the feeling of each foot touching the ground, the sounds around you, the breeze, and the rhythm of your breath. Let Reiki help you become fully present with each step.
5. Reiki with a Tree: Stand or sit beside a tree and invite Reiki to flow. You might place a hand lightly on the trunk (if appropriate) or simply sit nearby. Notice the tree's steady presence, deep roots, and quiet strength. Allow yourself to receive the same sense of stability while remaining connected to Reiki.
