Had the pleasure and joy of sharing my song Love is Love while waiting for my flight at Vancouver airport with this family who happen to be by the piano 🥰

Most times healing happens when we can get in touch with the simple joys within us, no matter where we are. And the ripple effect will occur naturally where our inner joy will spread to those around us, near and far, just as how the frequency energy from sounds and music can shift our inner emotional states.

May you all also be able to touch the states of calm, ease, and joy through this song, just as it had done for me while in the process of composing it !

(Excuse the hiccups, it was early in the morning and my first time playing in an open space like the airport!)

People pleasing is such an engrained default in our minds hoping that we can receive love, validation, self worth, respect from others. Because we lacked so much of it from our childhood from our loved ones, believing that how we are isn't enough. And because we weren't taught how to turn inwards to fulfill it on our own.

Let us practice turning inwards to heal this within ourselves and let go of all the shame and guilt that comes with learning to say no, learning to put self-love and self-care first, learning to trust our own intuition, our own inner voices, and allowing ourselves to exhale fully into our being-ness, just as it is, without expecting ourselves to be more than that. Embrace all parts of our human-ness.

Remember that you are also a beautiful flower in the garden of humanity that deserves to be joyful and fresh without sacrificing or compromising any parts of yourself for anyone. And from there, your joy and freshness will naturally radiate to benefit those around you. Just like these beautiful cherry blossoms. 🌸🌸 🌸

Healing doesn’t always look the way people expect. It is not always loud, obvious, or easy to recognize from the outside.

Sometimes healing looks like setting boundaries, needing extra rest, grieving something years later, changing your circle, asking for help, or taking space to protect your peace. Sometimes it looks like simply getting through the day when no one else can see how hard that is.

Many people carry pain quietly while still showing up for their families, work, and communities. A smile does not always mean someone is free from hurt, and silence does not mean someone is okay. Healing is often personal work that happens in small moments, one step at a time.

Be gentle with others—and with yourself. You never know what someone may be carrying or what strength it took for them to make it to today. 💜
