Okay, taking a break from my usual Moon-in-Capricorn seriousness, I am giving myself full Aquarius-sun permission to be blowing my materials budget for this retreat. It is several months away, and I could not think of a more pleasurable way to spend my Sunday in August, preparing for a week that won’t occur until November at Nectar Yoga Retreat Centre on Bowen Island. I very much envisioning this turning into something else for next year, both as retreat and likely a return to Magick of Tea, but makers’ edition. STAY TUNED!

Label from slide 1 will be accompanying the assembled collage kits for all attendees (slide 2). I am obsessed with gathering collage material.
Slide 3: We’ll also be spending a day with relief printing and making our own stationery. I’ve begun assembling stationery kits in beautiful glassine envelopes for attendees! Labels, tags, doilies, papers, envelopes, as well as designs that reference Pamela Coleman Smith’s Tarot emblems and other blocks for print making.
Slide 4: A sample of the hand embroidery project we’ll be working on at the retreat. The designs are based on Carrie Violet’s book, Creepy Embroidery. Addictively satisfying!
