PSA: if you’re exhausted all the time… get your iron levels checked‼️
I thought I was just burnt out… turns out it was something else.
Hi 🫶🏼 it’s been a minute on here…
I honestly just haven’t had the energy.
Back in December, after my last exam… I hit a state of burnout. No question.
I had been running on caffeine and external motivation to hit deadlines for… well, the past 4 years since I started school.
Which made sense…
We’ve been in a home reno for almost 4 years,
I was in school full-time (trauma + addictions),
working with clients at
running EEA back to back,
doing my yoga training…
So I was like, yeah… of course I feel like this.
But then school ended… and I did all the “right” things to recover:
✔️More rest
✔️Less work
✔️Supplements,✔️ IV therapy, ✔️protocols
…and I was still exhausted months later.
(Like running on caffeine just to get through the day, and in my downtime I couldn’t even fold laundry.)
My labs kept coming back “normal,”
but my ferritin has always been low (usually 20–34).
So in March I decided to try iron infusions .health
Not expecting much tbh.
At first… nothing.
Then about 2.5 weeks later, it was like a switch flipped.
I woke up with energy!
In a good mood!
During my luteal phase (which is usually my worst 👀)
I remember thinking…
okay this is weird. It’ll probably be gone tomorrow.
But then Monday → energy
Tuesday → still energy
Wednesday → STILL energy
At that point I was like… okay what is happening??
So I cut caffeine to test it…
…and I STILL had energy.
It’s now been 6 straight days like this.
Which might sound small, but for me this is HUGE.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I felt like this.
Not in the last 4 years… maybe ever?
My ferritin went from ~20–35 → +200
and I feel like a different person!
All that to say… I finally feel like myself again 🤍
And I really want to put that energy into:
• my health
• my creativity (posting here again + )
• having more fun
• supporting women through emotional eating + burnout.
If you’ve been constantly exhausted
it might be worth looking a little deeper,
even if your labs say “normal.”
Anyway…hi again 🫶🏼
