Using a Registered Dietitian is highly recommended when using medications known for weight loss.

Newly Released Study concludes: Structured dietetic care should be regarded as a fundamental component of the pharmacological management of obesity, especially as GLP-1 RAs (Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, etc.) and incretin-based therapies become more prevalent.

Dietitians are well positioned to help:
- optimise nutritional adequacy,
- preserve lean mass,
- manage gastrointestinal symptoms, and
- support sustained weight maintenance.

Real talk: I'm not out here doing 12-step morning routines πŸ˜… Who has the time?!

Just chia seeds on my peanut butter toast. Takes 10 seconds, adds fiber + plant-based omega-3s, and actually keeps me full until lunch. That's the whole "secret."

As a dietitian, this is the stuff I wish more people knew β€” you don't need to overhaul your entire life to eat better. You just need small, doable habits you'll actually stick with. This is one of mine. πŸ₯„

It's peach πŸ‘ season in Ontario. This weekend follow along for a tour of the Niagara on the Lake Peach Festival (hopeful the flood recovery happens!).

Here's some trivia about πŸ‘ to give you a taste until the festivities start.

πŸ‘ Here’s a sweet stat for : while Canada’s total peach-growing acreage dipped slightly from 6,034 acres in 2024 to 5,776 acres in 2025, Ontario continued to lead the way, accounting for just over three-quarters (76.5%) of the country’s peach-growing acreage.

Happy Canada Food Day! Where the past & the future collide in food, nutrition and home economics.

As the Graduate Teaching Assistant to Discovering Foods at The University of Guelph, I was imbedded in the Anita Stewart Food Lab.

Look how gorgeous my workplace is!!

The MacDonald Institute building on campus holds so much history to food science including food safety/literacy, women's rights and nutrition.
With new technology, students and teachers are keeping up with culinary advances. Yet, the food science content is a steadfast "staple" (food fun intended!).

It was an honour to walk and work where so many paved a path that's near and dear to my passions.
